Trailer - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The first teaser trailer for the latest Harry Potter film is now online and you can check it out here. So far, it's looking pretty good, but I wonder how they are going to cram all the stuff that was in the book into a 2.5 hour movie. We'll see.

Movies based on books always have to be adapted in some way. With a movie you only have a couple hours to fully understand whatever it is that's being portrayed. 2.5 hours for a ~450 page book seems long enough to me. I think we'll see the main story kick in sooner than the first three movies (i.e. no opening scene sappiness), because so much has to remain in place in some way so that everyone who sees it understand what's going on.

This does make me wonder how they'll translate the fifth book into a movie, though -- it's the longest one in the series.
