DOA & iPods
I still haven't had a chance to take my skills online, but I should hopefully be able to do that sometime next week. I'll let you all know how the game performs on my DSL connection and what sort of competition there is out there. If you guys want to play me, just email me your Xbox Live names and I'll add them to my friends list.
On the iPod front, I just came across a pretty interesting deal that I thought I should share with you all.
An online store called Millennium Music is offering to turn old CDs into brand new iPods. All you do is ship them your CDs and theyÂll estimate the value and send you back an iPod. The CD to iPod conversion basically works like this:
45 CDs = 512 MB iPod Shuffle
65 CDs = 1 GB iPod Shuffle
85 CDs = 2 GB iPod Nano
110 CDs = 4 GB Nano
130 CDs = 30 GB iPod
175 CDs = 60 GB iPod
Those of you are interested should definitely swing your browsers to:

It seems like a good deal, especially if you happen to have a lot of old CDs laying around the house. I would have jumped on and gotten one had I not already picked up a video iPod a few weeks back.

I really liked DOA, but was kind of disappointed with DOA2. There wasn't much to unlock, and thus not much reason to keep playing. I lost it when it moved to Xbox, since I've never owned one.
The iPod thing is interesting, I just wish more people wouls give the competition a fair shake. iPod is turning into the name for a mp3 player. I like my iRiver, and the Zen touch players are the best value overall.

Yeah, I never owned an iPod until recently and that's because it now supports video. I think, for the price, you can't beat the fact that it handles videos, photos and music. Most of the other media players out there cost at least $100 more. Previously, I owned a Zen Xtra. Sadly, I still favor my PSP for video watching, but for a small and portable system, the 5G iPods are pretty neat (I love Podcasts).
