A Great Way To Begin...

Those of you who haven't seen Batman Begins yet need to stop what you're doing and head over to your nearest theater immediately. Nolan did a great job directing this DC Comics comeback and Bale is dynamite as the Caped Crusader. In fact, everyone did a very good job partially due to Goyer delivering yet another awesome script. He may not be a very good director (Blade: Trinity), but he's become a master at writing about believable heroes and I can't wait to see how his Ghost Rider turns out. The Flash may be another story, though, as David's handling the directing duties again, but maybe he's learned a few things now.

Anyway, definitely go see Batman Begins. The fight sequences suffer from that close-in and blurry camera work, but that is basically the only thing I am going to complain about. The film truly has some great moments and I can't wait to see a sequel. In one outing, Nolan has managed to wipe Schumacher's dreadful marketing machines completely out of my mind. Hooray for Nolan, Hooray for Batman and Hooray for DC Comics. Now, just bring on Superman!

UPDATE: "Warner Bros. Pictures' Batman Begins topped the weekend box office with an estimated $46.9 million. The Christopher Nolan-directed comic book adaptation has pulled in $71.1 million since opening on Wednesday. Budgeted at $150 million, the film also collected an estimated $41.7 million from 73 international markets, for a worldwide total of $112.8 million. The five-day North American haul was the best start among the five films in the "Batman" franchise. The record of $66 million was held by the third film, 1995's Batman Forever, which starred Val Kilmer. Batman Begins stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Ken Watanabe, Katie Holmes, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson and Rutger Hauer."

PSP Movie Reviews

I always like to inform people of interesting or useful sites, so here is one that focuses on PSP movie reviews. There aren't that many UMD movies yet, but around 70 should be out by the end of the year, which is pretty impressive. Anyway, here's the link to the site if you're interested: http://www.pspmoviereviews.net/
