The Weekend Cometh...

Another week has gone by and the wonderful weekend is upon us. I'm not expecting to do much over the next two days, but I assume that a bit of cleaning is on the list. We have to put away the Christmas decorations, afterall.

The puppy continues to grow and should be a few pounds above 30 now. It's just too bad that the constant on-and-off-again rains prevent her daily walk around the neighborhood. It seems that she really enjoys those and is always energetic to see what's around that next bend in the road. Who knows? Maybe it's because she's still a puppy and just wants to get into everyone's business.

Anyway, My VF2 machine is shaping up, as well, and I just finished touching up the coin drop assembly and fixing the locks on the unit. Hopefully, I'll get some time this weekend to play a couple of rounds with Akira. I'm a little rusty with the SPoD these days and need to get back into the swing of things.

Virtua Living

Thanks to my wonderful wife, I'm now a proud owner of an actual Virtua Fighter 2 arcade machine. Considering how old it is (at least 10 years), it's in a surprisingly good condition and only required a small amount of cleaning. There are definitely a couple of areas that could be addressed, such as a faded area on the control panel overlay and some nicks in the coin assembly, but I should be able to get to those soon enough.

However, if any of you out there come across a VF2 overlay in the near future, then please contact me. I'll pay any decent price.

Also, special thanks goes out to Chris Lucich for his level 10 lock-picking skills, as he was able to open up the coin assembly on my VF2 machine before I got the keys. He's a great guy, so some giant video game publisher should snatch him up as a Game Designer. HE WORKED ON PANZER DRAGOON SAGA FOR GOODNESS SAKES!!!!

Other than that bit of news, things are going well on all fronts. The puppy is growing up quickly and the house is slowly coming together. There is always work to be done, but I think we'll be a lot happier once some new windows get put in and the back area finally gets some grass. I'm eager to see how it will all end up.
