Beware The Dangers of Slang

In an interesting educational release, Microsoft created a webpage which talks about the dangers of online slang. Apparently, understanding how your teenager talks online is crucial to being a good parent.

Speaking of MS, it appears that the company has reversed their decision on the new version of Internet Explorer and will now be releasing it as a separate update later this year. I wonder if this has anything to do with the rapid growth of Firefox users (over 25 million downloads and counting). Nah, that couldn't be it.

As some of you may know, I'm a growing fan of Tony Jaa. He's definitely up and coming and could become an international star rather quickly, especially if he lands the role in the upcoming Die Hard movie. His most recent Thai movie is entitled Tom-Yum-Goong and a trailer for it can be found here.

If you're more interested about Jaa, then definitely check out some of his many fan sites. One of better ones is located at http://www.tonyjaa.org/

A Laugh a Day For 100 Days

I never would have thought that they would ever be compiled in one place, but apparently they have. Here are the 100 funniest jokes of all time, 3/4 of which happened to appear in the June 1999 issue of GQ. Looking over the list, I don't necessarily believe they are the greatest jokes I have ever heard, but they all certainly resonate at least a little bit with the funny bone.

Some of you probably already know that my wife and I are "animal-tarians", which is basically a made-up term for people who don't like to eat cruelly-treated animals. Sometimes, we do stray from the path, but we definitely try our best stick with it. On that note, I just wanted to share with you all the 2004 PETA Proggy Awards. For those who don't know, The Proggies are presented to various companies and products which happen to be good for the environment and/or animals. Check them out here.

For those of you who are fans of the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", I've managed to stumble upon an early version of the upcoming movie trailer. Check it out quick because it might not be there for long.

For the surprise link of the day, send your browser to this gem. It's got to be one of the most amazing music videos ever made. The special effects, alone, probably cost more than most full movie budgets. I'm just amazed.
